Food Book Club Oct. 29
The Food Book Club: a biweekly sensual moment of imagination, wonder, relaxation and screen-free togetherness.
The very first Food Book Club (in the world!) is coming together in Dordrecht!
Will you join us? At the Food Design Playground, we eat together what we read, and vice versa. Each month a different book, and therefore a different dish, takes center stage.
Whether you read the book in advance or on the spot is up to you. Nothing has to: the atmosphere is casual. All you have to do is reserve an offline moment for yourself and show up hungry for stories, connection and new tastes. The loungers are ready!
We begin with Lick it, by Marije Vogelzang.
This can be purchased locally or borrowed from your local library.
Next on the program is:
The Dinner (2009), Herman Koch
Chocolat (1999), Joanne Harris
Midnight Chicken (2019), Ella Risbridger
You can see which book we are working on on the Food Design Playground website.

Priscilla de Putter, writer, art historian.
'In daily life, I write about art, design, urban development, people and society under the name Studio Goldfinch. I wrote a book (with portraits of creators) and help others create their books, under the name Book a Book. For Food Design Playground, I get to play along as a curator of books for the Food Book Club, where I mainly present I the role of avid reader and lover of books, food and good conversation.'
