Food Design Playground is located in a monumental building where rococo ceilings whisper and the basement shimmers with ideas. A home for food design with changing programming. Expect pop-up dinners, exhibitions, workshops, lectures and tastings.

who is behind it?
Designer, teacher, food philosopher and playful rebel. For over 26 years she has been working at the intersection of food, design and human emotion. Not as a chef, but as a designer—for whom food is not just nourishment, but a carrier of meaning. Something that connects, reminds, questions, heals and transforms. Studio Marije Vogelzang is located inside Food Design Playground.
The place
Food Design Playground is not a normal restaurant. You can't just walk in for lunch. We work on an event basis — performances, dinners, workshops and other moments when the door is wide open. And good to know: you don't have to be a designer to feel at home. 'Ordinary' people with curiosity and a mouth are more than welcome here. The various spaces can be rented for creative gatherings, meetings, dinners, lectures or inspiration sessions. With or without catering, always with character.
